News letter:  Winter / Spring  2010

Dear Ely SC Enterprise member,

Welcome to my first newsletter for the Enterprise section.

It’s been a long winter so far, however, the sailing season is just around the corner and I hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am. My boat is currently in a bare state with no fitting on her.  I’ve finished the inside and now I’m waiting for the weather to break, so I can get the outside painted, decks varnished and put back together. Hopefully, you are further ahead with your boatϑ

I hope you will all join the Enterprise Association this year, as there are some real benefits to be-had:-

Insurance Discount

Chandler Discounts

3 annual booklets, describing what’s going on around the country as well as possible new design features for the Enterprise.

Members login to the web site, which allows you access to other helpful documents.

If you have interest in becoming a member, please view the association site at www.sailenterprise.org.uk, you can do an online membership application from there.

I’ve planned a few events for this season, which are listed below.

2010 Events:

1st May 2010: 6.30pm food then an evening talk and presentation by Paul Young (Enterprise Association Commodore) on the Channel Double Crossing on the 10th June 2006 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Enterprise. (Book your place early as this will be open to all club members)

9th May 2010: Ely Enterprise Open meeting

17th July:  Boat setup and race help with John Wells and myself.

Look forward to seeing you all at the start of the season
